Our Suburban Central Florida Home Gets a Makeover

A few weeks ago I shared that it was the 16th anniversary of being in our home.

The original paint colors were faded from years in the sun and zebra-striped with patching to try to seal cracks in the stucco. It was way past time for a refresh!

My inspiration was a French country house - something completely different from the standard suburban Florida neighborhood where all the homes look the same. And I am so happy with the transformation - Kelley Painting Services did a fabulous job!

Since the painting was completed, we have put in additional landscaping work to boost the curb appeal of the entire house: fresh mulch, pretty flowers, new exterior lighting, pressure washing, and even more in the backyard that you can’t see here.

The outside looks great, so next our focus will shift to the inside of the home. As my husband said, “if you let things deteriorate at the same rate it’s not as noticeable until you fix something.”

Now we are noticing…stay tuned for what will be next!
